Let’s face facts, some of us don’t have time to go to the gym, can’t leave or kids to go running alone and some of us just don’t like to workout! (I fall into all 3 categories and I’m lazy!)
With that being said, I was thinking about all of the things that I do, at home, during the day and how I could exercise while doing them. (I know, me thinking about exercise is scary…)
After thinking about it, I threw on my favorite pair of workout headphones and tried these easy workouts for moms at home.
Super Easy Workouts for Moms at Home:
Being in the kitchen offers you a lot of opportunities to squat it out! Looking in the fridge? Squat it out! Getting ingredients out of the cupboards? Squat it out! Checking on your brownies in the oven? Squat it out!
Carrying the groceries in? Put one bag in each hand and do lunges all the way in! If you want more weight, add more bags. You could also use 12 packs or 24 packs!
Taking the garbage and recycling out? One in each hand and do lunges all the way out!
Keep an eye on the action and get some walking in at the same time by walking the perimeter of the playground while your kids play!
Sneaking out of your sleeping child’s room is the perfect time to get in your 30-60 second plank, followed by an army crawl. Feel free to repeat if need be!
Weighing your options on which wine to open? Do curls with a bottle in each hand while you decide!
Put those girl scout cookies on your tummy and do a crunch to grab one cookie at a time!
There you have it. My list of easy workouts for moms at home! I think any mom can handle these exercises, even lazy ones, like me! *wink wink*
