For 4 years, she has always been with me. With mommy, everyday, and now, I have to send her off to school. We’ve done as much as we can to prepare her for the change in our daily routine and what she will see in preschool. We had help with that when we read her The Very Important Preschooler from I See Me Books.
We took her back to school shopping and when she picked out her outfit for her first day, she said “I am in love!”. I looked at her clothes and could only wonder why they are so big. She can’t be that big yet. How did she get so big so fast?!
Her important items have been labeled (with the help of StickerKid stickers) and it is all laid out and ready to go. Her cute My Little Pony backpack that is almost as big as she is, her back to school outfit including her sparkly black high tops and her bus tag are ready to go.
We’ve worked on our night time routine, we’ve talked about how she will ride a bus and we’ve talked about how she is going to go to school without any of us.
She is so smart and perspective.
She says she’s ready for preschool and I think she’s right.
She will be ok and so will I!
