It’s Minnesota State Fair time! I got to taste some of the new state fair foods, so I can tell you all about them and show you what you have to look forward to at the Minnesota State Fair this year!
Finding out about the new state fair foods is always an exciting time! Especially here, at the Minnesota State Fair!
Did you know:
- in 2016, the Minnesota State Fair hit the impressive milestone of selling 25 million and 1 Pronto Pups!
- that the highest gross for food items sold at the Minnesota State Fair are chocolate chip cookies!
- the Minnesota State Fair grossed over 39 million dollars in sales last year, with an attendance of almost 2 million people!

Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! Here are some of the newest foods at the Minnesota State Fair this year:
Bananas Foster French Toast from the Hamline Church Dining Hall!
Cinnamon swirled french toast and bananas in a delectable orange and rum caramel sauce! It is probably the perfect way to start your day at the fair! You can find it on the North side of Dan Patch Avenue, between Underwood and Cooper Street!
Up North Puff Pastry from The Sausage Sisters!
This amazing puff pastry is topped with pepper and sea salt, but it is STUFFED with Porketta sausage, cheese curds, coarse ground mustard and dill pickles! It may be the PERFECT Minnesotan food! You can find it in the Food Building on the East wall!
The BBQ Split from Mama D’s Kitchen! (new vendor)
It’s a scoop of BBQ’d pulled pork, a scoop of Mac & Cheese and a scoop of coleslaw, all in one boat! To top it all off, it is served with a pickle spear and they have some sweet tea to accompany it! You can find them in the Taste of Midtown’s Global Market, but only August 29th – September 3!
Hand-Crafted Cold Brews from The Anchor Coffee House! (new vendor)
They will be serving hand-crafted cold brews with vanilla cream, caramel cream and chocolate cream, lattes including mocha and chai, as well as fresh brewed drip coffee! You can find them on the West side of Underwood Street, outside the Ramberg Music Cafe!
