“Hey Google, I’m home!”
Welcome home, Echo.
*Our Google Home series then, turns on the specific lights that I have told her to.*(Yes, I refer to Google as her, and you will probably see that a lot) I absolutely love coming in to a lit up and cozy house. Especially, during the holidays and I get it from my Google Home friends! Want to meet them?!
Having A Google Home
Thanks to my friends at Verizon, we have had our Google Mini since last Christmas, so Google has been in our home for a while. However, within a week of having our Google Mini, my husband had switched our light switches to smart switches and yes, our assimilation into a Google Home was complete, LOL!
Your Google Home Assistant
I adore Google! She greets me in the morning and tells me about my day, while I make my coffee and get ready to wake up the kids. My husband also set it up, so that Google gently raises the light level throughout the morning! How cool is that?!
Here are some of the Google features that I love:
The Timer: I use this multiple times a day!
Q&A for the kids: OMG, this is a lifesaver, because sometimes, 462 questions a day is just too many to answer.
Q&A for you: Hey, Google just knows, am I right?
MadMommy Tip: Be mindful of what you ask. Occasionally, Google may give you an answer that you weren’t expecting and could be a little shocking!
Music: I love that I can ask Google to play, like Lady Gaga, and it will play a continuous soundtrack of her music and similar music!
Relaxing Sounds: Google can play a different variety of relaxing sounds and white noise! Very helpful for meditation and falling asleep!
Bedtime Stories: Did you know that if you ask Google to tell you a bedtime story, it will tell you one of many, child appropriate, stories! So awesome for those nights when you are just too tired. Better than cheating and skipping all of those pages!
The kids can totally call Santa Claus and interact with him! (You can threaten to call him too! *wink wink*)
