The Avengers have shown us, that anyone can be a hero, but, as a parent, I think our kids are everyday super heroes that are often overlooked. Think about your child and be mindful of what their whole day may entail. Are you overwhelmed yet? Imagine how they feel!
Kids Are Everyday Super Heroes and This Is Why:
- Each morning, they greet the day with a brain and a heart that is willing to learn, accept and process new information!
- Monday through Friday, they are pushed into classrooms and expected to socialize and learn new skills with 30 other kids trying to do the same.
- This goes on for 6 to 8 hours and we wonder why our kids are a little grumpy when they get home. Like any good superhero, the need to recharge! Heck, I know adults that need to recharge after similar days!
- After a short recharge, they are on the go again! Dealing with emotion after emotion, social situations with family and friends, mealtime and homework, all while absorbing the knowledge they’ve encountered throughout the day!
I don’t know about you, but I am already tired from just trying to comprehend our kids’ everyday battles! Our kids may not wear super hero capes all the time, but they are DEFINITELY everyday super heroes, that deserve to be praised!
