My friends at Verizon gave us the opportunity to check out the Wear24 Smartwatch this past month. Now, I am not a watch wearer and really have never worn anything more than a Fitbit or the occasional bracelet. My husband, on the other hand, loves all things tech and has grown very fond of wearing a watch after falling in love with the Fitbit Charge H2! Here is what we can tell you about the Wear 24 Smartwatch from Verizon. The Wear24 Smartwatch is a Verizon Exclusive product and runs with Android 2.0 products. It comes pre-loaded with a few helpful apps including Find My Phone, Agenda, Fit and HomeGoogle/Together.
The Wear 24 offers a teether-free connection, which means it is always connected to your phone. This is a nice feature, because you don’t have to constantly reach for your phone or even bring it with you.
It has a really sleek look and has interactive watch-faces. Personally, it felt a little bulky and heavy on my wrist, but my husband said that he liked the fit and the band was really comfortable. It’s also available in 3 different colors: Stainless, Gun Metal and Rose Gold.
It connects to WiFi, has a really fast response time, has a battery life of about 18 hours and a standby time of up to 60 hours. It also has 4GB of memory!
My husband enjoyed the simple looking, but very customizable watch-faces. He did say that although the ability to send messages is nice, he wished that he could read them as well.
He enjoyed the fit side of the Wear24, but did say that he missed the heart-rate monitor that other tech offers. The Wear24 Smartchwatch is available from Verizon and has a price tag of $349 or $299 with a 2 year contract.
