The holidays are definitely full of magic, giving and family togetherness, but I also think that the holidays are becoming more about unforgettable experiences, than material gifts and I love that! This year, my husband and I were invited to offer our kids an unforgettable holiday experience and of course, we jumped at the chance!Every year, in Duluth, Minnesota, there is an amazing holiday light display known as The Bentleyville Tour of Lights and we got to go see it all, on opening weekend! What made our trip even more unforgettable, is that we got to stay at our favorite Duluth hotel, the Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark, and we also got to ride the first EVER Edgewater Train to Bentleyville!
The Edgewater is always so welcoming and they made sure that we were all in the holiday spirit!
The rooms are always clean and man, there is just something about that view!
Plus, there is the added benefit of the amazing waterpark and arcade!
They also have great food! They offer everything from burgers to pizza at Tiki Tom’s poolside grill! We absolutely love their pizza! Which you can eat right at the waterpark, take it up to your room or have it delivered via room service!
They also offer Tiki Tom’s Breakfast Buffet, which is all you can eat and drink for $6.99 per adult and $1.99 per child. It is filled with fluffy pancakes, delicious scrambled eggs, sausage, french toast sticks, cinnamon rolls and more!
Of course, we can’t forget about the Bentleyville Tour of Lights! The Edgewater went all out for their guests. They decorated, had fun holiday cutouts to take pictures in and even had Olaf on hand to see the guests on their merry way! Meeting Olaf? I think her face says it all.
The train ride to Bentleyville is really awesome! You get to ride in a real, Northern Scenic Railroad passenger train! That was a first for all of us and it was super cool. The conductor and the staff were all warm and welcoming!
Arriving at the Bentleyville Tour of Lights is an incredible sight to behold and, believe me when I say, the pictures hardly do it justice!
One of the best, and most amazing, things about Bentleyville is that it is free! Anyone can come, walk the paths, drink hot cocoa, enjoy the lights and even, meet Santa! Bentleyville is operated by generous donations from sponsors around the Duluth area, like The Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark! They also accept toy and canned good donations for the needy during the holiday season!
There were so many lights to see and I can’t believe how intricate some of them are!
How amazing is that Viking ship?! It reminds me of when we saw the Tall Ships, right here in Duluth!
I can’t stress enough, how magical and unforgettable this experience was. I truly hope, that you visit Minnesota soon and when you do, go see my friends at the Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark, you won’t regret it. I also recommend visiting the Bentleyville Tour of Lights, which goes on from November 18th – December 26th!We had an unforgettable holiday experience at the Edgewater Hotel and The Bentleyville Tour of Lights!Click To Tweet
