Secret Garden Fairy Hangout!July 28, 2014 By: Echo53 CommentsThis is the last week of the Think Outside The Toy Box series, but that doesn’t mean you should stop!Never stop, always push the limits! What can you do with milk jugs?#ThinkOutsideTheToyBox and make a Secret Garden Fairy Hangout! This is a simple activity that is fun, exciting, encourages creativity and gets the kids outdoors!First, send the kids outside to collect things!Remind them that things need to be “fairy sized”. This is a great way to teach ratio and perspective.First, cut the milk jug and place dirt in the bottom. Then, let your kids get creative! My kids added umbrella seating, a pool and a roaring fire for the fairies to enjoy! You’ll also want to camouflage the top of the milk jug, that way the fairies feel safe!Find a lush tree or bush to place your Secret Garden Fairy Hangout in. I attached a string to mine, so we could hang the hangout. (hahaha!)There you have it!Make one and enjoy it with your family! This is part of the Think Outside The Toy Box series! I have adored this series so much and I hope that you have too! What’s been covered: IntroductionGlow sticksEmpty water/soda bottlesPaper grocery bagsKool-aidIce Cream ConesPool NoodlesWax PaperPuzzle PiecesPaper CupsPlease, check out the other great ideas on how to use milk jugs or you have a great milk jug idea, activity or post, LINK IT UP!An InLinkz Link-up More from my siteIt’s Another Whatever Wednesday!Easy Spring Sewing ProjectsFamily Bonding Activities for Having Fun and Making MemoriesBack To School…DIY Puzzle Art!
