There are things I have learned about food that I would have never known, if I hadn’t become a mother.
Kids and food.
They go together like peanut butter and jelly.
But only if it is the right kind of jelly….
And the right kind of bread…
Crusts cut off…
With the right ratio of peanut butter to jelly…
And no one can save you if you buy the wrong brands/flavors.
Here are 5 Food Facts: As Told By My Kids!
1. Pasta shapes matter.
They matter a lot.
Is not this:
Do not be fooled.
They do not taste the same.
The sauce is different.
The texture is different.
We will not respond positively.
2. Ketchup is a vegetable and a multi-purpose sauce.
We will require ketchup at almost every meal.
Our ketchup will be the first thing to be finished on our plates.
Ketchup makes EVERYTHING more pallet-able.
DO NOT run out of ketchup.
3. We will be full until snacks and ice cream are offered.
We’re so full, they whine!
That’s about right.
“Would you like a snack?”
4. Boogers will be consumed and should be considered a food group.
5. If it is not consumable, We will try to consume it!
Coins, Buttons, Legos, Crayons, Rubberbands, Bird seed, Playdoh and so on.
If they don’t want us to eat it, they shouldn’t make it all look so delicious!
Well, there you have it. 5 Food Facts: As told by my kids.
I know that we all probably did this as children and for some reason, choose not to remember it.
However, motherhood is a not so subtle reminder of what we put our parents through.
