It had been one of those days.
Defiant and stubborn.
Most of the time, I support these things.
You know, for their growth, development and independence.
Today, however, it was like an Atom bomb went off.
Just like that.
Right in my living room.
They were seriously acting like they were right out of a cartoon.
Like this one.
The above stated behavior led to this conversation with my husband.
He was at work and I was anxiously waiting for him to relieve me.
I mean, Come home so I could see him!
Me: “What if you came home and we just didn’t have kids anymore?”
Me: “No good?”
Hubby: “Only if they come back.”
Me: “When they’re grown?”
Hubby: “No, in like a day or two.”
Me: “Ugh, I guess they can stay.”
Me: “What if I seal them in Carbonite, Hans Solo style?”
Don’t judge me.
I said they could stay.
Now, while I would never actually get rid of my children.
Stress and frustration can make for some funny conversations.
Joking with my husband like this is a great stress reliever for me.
It makes me laugh, which in turn makes me happy.
Next time you are feeling stressed or having one of those days, allow your mind to wander and joke a little bit.
It really does help.
