We love the Badlands and Mt Rushmore, but honestly, I can’t wait to check out Custer State Park!

Sure, you can visit the nearby Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse, but in Custer State Park you’ll find the Gordon Stockade and awesome Educational Programs for everyone!
There are so many fun things to do in Custer State Park, that you won’t have a problem filling up your itinerary!
You can go paddle boating or kayaking on Sylvan Lake.
You can take a scenic drive on one of the many historic roads, like Needles Highway!
Although nothing is quite as awesome as watching the wild buffalo roam!
You can also head into Custer State park for the Annual Buffalo Round up in September! Watch cowboys and cowgirls as they roundup and drive the herd of approximately 1,300 buffalo!
