It’s Monday again and it’s time to get the #KidsInTheKitchen!
Kids can play. Kids can play hard and then, it happens.
The snack attack!
It creeps up on them like a ninja and all of a sudden they are, “So starving!”.
These Bacon, Egg & Cheese Stackers are amazingly easy and awesomely protein packed. No to mention, they are delicious!
- A few eggs
- A cheese of your choice (We used marble jack)
- Bacon!!! (We used Turkey Bacon and it turned out just as wonderful!)
- A Wheat Thin type cracker
- Having cute kitchen help doesn’t hurt either. *wink wink*
Step One: Boil the eggs!
My egg technique is as follows. Eggs go in the pan, with water just touching the tops. Bring them to a rolling boil, turn the burner off and put the lid on. Set the timer for 13 minutes. After the 13 minutes, drain off the water and put ice on them for about 5 minutes. Then peel.
Step Two: Cook your bacon!
Bacon is easy. Pan fry it on both sides, put it on a paper towel to cool. Once it’s cool. Cut it into squares.
Step 3: Cut the cheese! *immature giggling*
Beware! Cheese tends to disappear almost as fast as the bacon! Just cut it into squares.
Step 4: Slice the eggs!
We have a nifty little egg slicer. Makes it so nice!
Step 5: Assemble the stackers!
Cracker, Bacon, Egg & then Cheese. That is how we do it. Of course, feel free to mix it up if you would like!
