Everyone is trying to save money. Bargain shopping here, thrift store shopping there, clipping coupons, giving things up, trying to save as many dollars as possible. I know this because I am one of those people. However, I am also a lazy person, so here is my guide on how to save money at Target with very minimal effort.
1. Download the Cartwheel App!
Yes, Target has their own app and yes, you can save money with it! You can also hook it up to your Facebook and see if you can save more than your friends! (Haha) Super simple, you can either add some items to your cartwheel before you go or you can scan while you shop! These are my actual Cartwheel savings and I have been using it for a little over a year.
2. Free Cheese and Discounted Meat:
At all Super Targets, you get a FREE half pound of cheese when you buy a pound and a half of the Market Pantry or Archer Farms Deli Meat.
Also, the meat department at Super Target likes to slap these pretty coupons on their meat! They also like to sneak in sales, like buy one get one 50% off or buy one get one 20% off. These deals are also STACKABLE with other coupons and your Cartwheel app!
3. Check out and print off the Target Coupons:
Do it any time before you go shopping. Do it while you drink your coffee. Do it while you check Facebook. Do it
while after you are done reading this blog. It only takes a few minutes and could save you more than a few dollars!
4. Consider getting a Target Red Card:
I know! I know exactly what you are thinking, “Oh, just what I need, ANOTHER credit card!”. I thought the same thing, until I got mine. I got the debit version, so it works just like my bank card. No interest, no payments, I just use the money I have. However, unlike my bank card, I save 5% on everything I buy and I get FREE shipping when I shop at Target online.
5. Watch for In-store Deals:
Check out the clearance as you walk by. Read the sale signs in the grocery aisles as you walk through. Check out the Dollar Spot, but don’t get too sucked in. Remember, some stuff is a good deal and other stuff, well, it’s just junk!
