People are fascinated by snow.
Kids love snow! They love snow whether they see it every year or not.
Kids also love painting. They get so excited when they drag that brush across the canvas! I love to encourage my kids’ creative streaks. The past couple days, they have wanted the snow, but it has been way too cold. So, I decided to let them paint the snow.
Painting a snow storm is a lot easier than it sounds because I use the term loosely. We called them “Snow storms” after this kids had finished.
It doesn’t take much.
- Canvas – We used 8 x 10’s for this project, but you can use any size.
- Regular paint – blue and white work well.
- Puff Paint – Again, blue and white shades work the best.
- Glitter Glue – We used silver to add sparkle
Step 1: Mix your base color and paint the whole canvas.
Step 2: Apply drops of puff paint to the canvas and allow them to swirl it around.
Step 3: Apply glitter glue which will make the paintings sparkle and also seal them.
So come on, let’s paint a snow storm!
