Latest innovations brought to you by the most famous designers and shown on catwalks around the world very quickly become something that everyone needs to see and incorporate in their own style. So, next time that you sit in front of your mirror with lights from Hollywood mirrors, pay attention to the following trends and apply the best of it so that you can always be ahead of everybody and trendy to the max!
Here are some highlights for this season from fashion shows in New York, London, Paris and Milan:
- Cateye or lipgloss
Eyes can be a magnet to one`s face and eye makeup is the alphabet of all make up.
Cat-like eyes never go out of trend because they have a way of bringing the most sensual part of your face into focus. Emphasize your eyes at least once, or even twice – as some designers do this season – and you won`t go unnoticed. This season, with a strong accent on eyes, especially using glitter, the lips are glossy as well. It can come in the form of sequins or very slight and natural. To achieve the cateye look only using your eyeliner, read our trend no. 5. Also, you can smudge the eyeshadow in the corner of your eyes for rock chic or rock glam look, but beware that heroin chic is out of the question this season.
- Natural look
Pay attention to this, especially if you have a Hollywood mirror. Your skin this season needs to look as if you spent the whole day surfing. This laid-back, almost wet look is an ideal contrast to winter cold, while for the spring your skin looks better a bit drier. Try to apply only very small amounts of blush, highlighter, foundation or powder, while you can go wild with eyeshadow or lipgloss, just as long as they are in the tone that matches your complexion.
- Accent lips
When there is no emphasis on eyes, your lips can be in focus. Strong cinnamon shades are ideal for spring, but this season designers show burgundy and dark ombre nuances, which rule the winter as they are complementing natural winter shades. The effect of just-kissed lips can be achieved with a color that is just slightly smudged with the total face brush.
Another trend is to use a bit of tint in fluorescent shades for evening looks. Bright neons evoke the eighties style, strength and feminism.
- Eyes in pink gold
Romantic metallic shades are perfect for the holiday season, which basically lasts until Valentines Day. Shades of gold and silver are a natural choice, but for this season designers have introduced the shade of pink gold. It became popular with engagement rings and wedding bands, and now we see it on eyelids as well. One tip: before the eyeshadow, put a bit of pink blush on your lids, it will accentuate your eyes in a special way!
- Eyeliner experiments
Experimenting with eyeliner styles is the new designers` specialty in past few years. If you keep your strokes light, there is no boundary to what you can achieve, even the artsiest of looks and they are trendy this season. Designers introduce straight lines, as well as curved ones, with angles that are quite sharp around the eye. Invoke the look of the sixties or seventies, but be careful that the line stays clear and not smudged. A tip for you: use the eyeliner brush to fill in where your eyelashes are not thick enough. This way they will look thicker, stronger and darker.
- Bleached brow
Barely there brows are in this season. They are still thick and wild, but their shade is more in tune with your complexion.
