St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner and I have another K-Cup craft for you to make! Just like my K-Cup Candy Critters, this craft is cute and easy to put together. (By the way, all of my KCup craft ideas can be made with dixie cups, if you don’t have K-Cups!) Let’s get ready for St. Patrick’s Day with some Leprechaun Loot!
You really don’t need much to make these cute little buckets.
- Empty K-Cups (You can use small dixie cups too!)
- Black Paint
- Green Glitter Glue
- Green Pipe Cleaners (cut in half)
- Regular Glue (totally optional to secure the handle, but I didn’t need it)
- Golden Candy (I used Rolos as my gold nuggets!)
Start with the painting.
Paint them black first and then, let them dry.
After that, paint on a coat of Green Glitter Glue and let that dry.
Now, it’s time to attach the handle.
Use a thumb tack and poke two holes near the rim, directly opposite of each other. Insert one end of the pipe cleaner in to the hole and bend it up slightly. Then, run the pipe cleaner over the top (like a handle) and insert the other end into the second hole. Bend it up to secure it. You can also use a dab of glue here to secure the handle, but I didn’t need it. Fill your Leprechaun bucket up with loot and set it out for some lucky munchkin to find!
This is a fun St. Patrick’s Day craft that also doubles as a special treat! My son wants to use these to bait our Leprechaun trap. We haven’t caught one, as of yet, but we have come close! I hope you enjoy this fun K-Cup craft.
