It is Friday once again, my friends and that means it is time for Ask Away Friday!
Ask Away Friday is a blogger to blogger activity. Bloggers pair up, ask the other one questions and then answer that bloggers questions on their own blog! It is a fabulous way for bloggers from every niche to get to know each other!
Tis the day after Thanksgiving and I am sure that we are all filled with delicious food and hopefully, some gratitude! I am swapping with Sonya this week from Saving Everyday with Sonya K! Sonya blogs about the fantastic savings that she finds in order to save herself and her readers, money EVERYDAY! You go, girl! I love me some savings!
Sonya and I decided that since our bellies and our hearts should be full, that we would do a swap about gratitude!
Away we go!
Sonya asked and I answered!
I’ve read about a lot of people keeping gratitude journals and I’ve always wanted to start writing in one too. Do you keep a gratitude journal? If so, how long have you been writing in it?
I do not keep a gratitude journal, per say, but I don’t really keep a personal journal either. Wait, yes I do. It’s my blog, I guess my blog would be my journal, gratitude and all!
This year for the first time my family will be sharing what we are thankful for during Thanksgiving dinner. Does your family say what they are thankful for during Thanksgiving dinner?
We do, informally, we just kind of say what we are thankful for and ask the kids what they are thankful for.
Name five silly things you are thankful for.
Good music is something that I’m thankful for. What are three songs that you are thankful for to get you through the rough days?
Do you find it easy or hard to teach your kids the importance of being grateful?
Both. We have tried to instill gratitude in them from the start, but kids will be kids and for a while, it is ALL about them. This year, at 8 years old, my son has finally grasped the concept and showed an impressive amount of gratitude, grace and patience today. I was super impressed.
What technology are you most thankful for?
I would have to say internet access. It has opened up such a world of information to us and as a homeschooler, having information at my finger tips is priceless!
What food will you be most thankful for on Thanksgiving?
The turkey! Oh man, the turkey.
Also, the apple pie.
Name one thing that happened yesterday that you are grateful for.
My family was together for a small, intimate Thanksgiving dinner and it was wonderful!
What experiences have you had that you are grateful?
I am not sure that one blog post could contain them all.
I am grateful, in one way or another, for everything that I have experienced. Good or bad, it has molded me and shaped me into the woman that I am today. Honestly, I am pretty proud of who I am and I never thought that I would be this person!
What is different today than it was a year ago that you are thankful for?
My children are older and not much else has changed, but I am totally thankful for that.
Thank you so much for swapping with me, Sonya! Please, swing by Sonya’s blog and see how she answered my questions on gratitude!
