One of my worst fears came true.
For another mother.
Something that I wouldn’t wish on anyone happened.
To another mother.
This weekend a life was cut short.
An accident took a young boy from this world.
Something so simple.
A game of Frisbee.
The over-exuberance of youth.
Combined on Friday and changed the course of Ryan’s parent’s lives forever.
A beautiful child is gone and a family will be forever changed.
I will be forever changed.
The feelings that I have are so profound and confusing. I can’t even begin to imagine how his family is feeling. I think it hits home because it could have been any of us.
It could have been me when my 2 year old decided to bolt across the street.
It could have been me any of the times that she has done it!
I could have been me when my 8 year old rode his bike into the street without looking.
It could have been me.
Simple things combined and altered lives forever.
I need to remember to enjoy things now.
I need to remember that what drives me crazy now, I will miss later.
I need to remember that it could change at any moment.
I need to make moments to remember.
I need to build my story.
This family need support.
Ryan needs to be remembered.
