Yesterday was my son’s 8th birthday!
I can’t believe that he is 8 years old!
I can’t believe that I became a mother 8 years ago!
My son, much like every other boy in the world, is obsessed with Minecraft.
A game of logic, skill, strategy and tons of tiny pixels.
Basically, boxes. Tons and tons of tiny, pixelated boxes!
So, when he told me he wanted a Minecraft birthday party, I was somewhat excited!
This should be easy!
So, I hit up Pinterest for ideas.
Here is what we came up with:
We didn’t do much but, we did make this Creeper face out of square paper plates!
I think it turned out pretty cool!
I printed out pictures of the food from Minecraft and then made food to represent it.
I had giant plates of mini corn dogs and chicken nuggets, plus giant buckets of chips.
The kids and my husband were extremely excited.
Constructed out of chocolate cake, rice crispy treats and blue jello.
Each square individually cut and placed.
I am pretty damn proud of this cake.
I can’t believe I made it.
My boy was pretty proud too!
There you have it!
Our Minecraft Birthday Experience!
Pretty painless to put together but, looks really cool!
Do you do theme parties?
