Cinnamon Crunch Apple Pie Bars?
That’s right! Delicious, Cinnamon-y Apple Pie in a handy bar form. Portable, sturdy, lunch box pack-able.
I am just stringing together words now.
Either way, it is delicious!
The crunch part?
No, it’s not really crunchy. It’s more about what’s inside it that gives it the name.
The secret ingredient.

Mix together the milk, egg yolk and vanilla. Slowly our it into the flour and stir it with a fork.
When it is fully mixed together, it will look like this. Divide it into two.
Lightly flour your cutting board and roll the dough out into a rectangular shape. No need for perfection.
Fold it over and transfer it to your baking dish. Then unfold it and push the sides down. Folding it over slightly is fine too. You could also cut it down if you would like.
Sprinkle your crushed cereal on top of the bottom crust. Then put a base layer of apples on.
Then just toss the rest of the apples on. Make sure they are somewhat evenly distributed. Then mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle it all over the top of the apples. Reserve about 2 Tbs of the mix for the very end.
Now, roll out your top crust. I like to cut it and layer it, lattice style but, you can also just lay the full crust on top and cut steam slits.
Now, pop it in the oven and set your timer for 45 minutes. Bake it for 45 minutes to a hour, depending on your oven. The top crust should be golden brown and the apples should be bubbly!
