This was my Sunday night:
Yup. Chips ‘N’ Dip, caffeine, laundry and the Walking Dead! Oh, and my hubby is on the couch to my left.
Monday was a little more interesting.
We had school as usual and I had to keep the toddler occupied.
Down the chute! She loved it.
Then we made Parakeet Sticks (Bird Feeders).
My son really enjoyed searching the yard for the right sticks. He did great.
Here is what we started with.
First we put the peanut butter on the sticks.
Then, we rolled them into the bird seed.
Then, we tried to repeat the process.
My 7 year old enjoyed this craft very much!
After the first stick, my 2 year old decided that peanut butter was for eating and not for putting on sticks.
Here is our end result.
8 Parakeet sticks ready to go!
Making bird feeders is a fun and easy craft for toddlers and elementary students. You can make them with toilet paper or paper towel rolls and hang them as well.
We chose sticks, so that our birds could land on them.
Try it with your kids!
